Sigma SD14 DSLR Debuts at Photokina

Sigma SD14 DSLR

Sigma Corporation unveiled today its SD14 digital SLR featuring 14 megapixels, 2.5-inch LCD screen, dust protection, 5-point AF system, durable shutter mechanism and a pentaprism viewfinder.

At the heart of its design is the Foveon X3 direct-image-sensor, which is touted to reproduce high definition images rich in gradation and impressive three-dimensional detail. Sigma said the Foveon X3 direct image sensor can capture all primary RGB colors at each and every pixel arranged in three layers, insuring the capture of full and complete color.

The company also said the SD14 comes complete with Sigma Photo Pro 3.0 software, a RAW image developer that converts all RAW data quickly and easily.
