There’s a bit of Zen in its minimalist design, a slim 23mm depth with clean lines, and not too many buttons and stuff that could clutter your undersea adventure. The Sea & Sea 860G underwater camera wants to be your aquatic point-and-shoot digicam.
It is made in Japan, and it comes with its own removable underwater housing so it goes with you wherever your aqua lung can take you (unlike the Pentax Optio W10 which can only take you snorkeling with some brief dives of up to only 4ft).
The S&S 860G has a 2.5-inch LCD screen, 3x optical zoom, 6.2-MP CCD image sensor and a built-in 32MB of internal memory. But you won’t settle for that skimpy 32MB because this thing, like any other digicam nowadays, can take movies too. So fill its SD slot with an optional large-size SD card and go diving already.
About $460 for the kit of camera + housing.
