Pentax had the beginner’s convenience in mind when they designed their Optio E30, an entry-level compact that comes with 7.1 megapixels.
Convenience indeed because the Optio E30 used the widely available AA batteries for power; Pentax claims you can take 200 photos with just one fresh set of alkaline batteries. Another convenient feature of the E30 is its Green mode: a single button press automatically sets the exposure, sensitivity, white balance, and other parameters according to the shooting conditions.
Out of the box, the E30 can shoot photos with its built-in 11MB of internal memory. It accepts SD memory cards for expansion, including the new SDHC for high-capacity storage.
The Optio E30 sports a 3x optical zoom and 2.4-inch LCD screen.
