Taiwan-based Mustek has introduced the new PF-E700, a digital photo frame that wants to replace that alarm clock at your bedside. It has a built-in alarm clock (of course), a calendar function, indoor temperature gauge and MP3 player.
All these utilities do not crowd the main display, a 7-inch TFT color LCD with 480×234 resolution, but reside in a separate backlit LED display below.
The dual “snooze†alarm clock helps wake the user up alert and aware of the time, temperature and date, and the backlight can be selected as continuous, an important advantage in early morning darkness.
The Mustek PF-E700 ships in April 2008 with a retail price of $150 and comes with a standard 12V adaptor, user manual and wireless remote control.
