Looking for your first digital point-and-shoot camera? The $127 Sanyo Xacti S50 could be worth a little wait. It is debuting in Germany this month, sporting a 5-MP image sensor, 2.5-inch LCD screen, 2x optical zoom and an f/2.8 aperture in wide and f/4.0 in zoom.
And for an inexpensive camera, the Xacti camera software has what it calls an “extensive preview mode”, which allows you to create and view a decent slideshow on its large LCD screen, with music at that.
Sanyo was also thoughtful enough to provide a little mirror there next to the lens, for those times when you feel like pointing the camera at yourself to photograph your own lovely face.
