Samsung has announced a new range of NX lenses for the Samsung NX10 interchangeable lens camera. In addition to its Pancake, Standard Zoom and Tele Zoom lenses, Samsung is adding five more, for a total of 8 lenses.
The new NX lenses include a non-OIS 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 standard zoom lens to be released in the first half of 2010, a compact 20-50mm F3.5-5.6 zoom lens and a wide pancake 20mm F2.8 lens for release in the second half of 2010, and two more lenses: an image-stabilized 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 OIS super zoom lens and a 60mm F2.8 macro lens.
The NX10 camera boasts a compact, sleek and lightweight design by replacing the mirror box and optical viewfinder found in traditional SLR cameras with an electronic viewfinder. The aim is to combine the performance and quality of an SLR with the convenience and portability of a point and shoot.
