Proxel Lens Corrector for Mac OS X
There is now a Mac OS version of Proxel Lens Corrector 1.1, a Photoshop plugin that corrects lens distortions – barrel, pin cushion, fisheye, translation or a combination of all.
The plug-in is very useful for point-and-shoot cameras as the zoom lenses on those cameras always have distortion, mostly visible in the wide angle setting. Apart from correcting distortion in lenses, Proxel Lens Corrector can also be used for getting rectilinear pictures from your fisheye lenses. Thus you can buy a much cheaper and smaller lens and still get outstanding results.
Proxel Software HB of Sweden says serious photographers use both Mac and Windows machines, so they have decided to port their Windows version of the plug-in to Mac OS X.
