Tommer Leyvand of Tel Aviv University in Israel has developed a “digital beautification” algorithm which, by making subtle adjustments in the facial features of the subject, can make him or her be perceived as more “beautiful”. Leyvand’s research team compared before and after attractiveness ratings of the subjects and found that 79% said the changes made the person more attractive.
