Casio Introduces New Exilim EX-Z450, EX-Z90 Compacts

Casio released today two new additions to its EXILIM digital camera lineup, the EXILIM Zoom EX-Z450 and EXILIM Zoom EX-Z90. Casio said both are equipped with Intelligent AF, a “new” function that can detect even a non-human photographic subject (isn’t that a function of normal AF?), allowing the camera to automatically determine the focus and exposure area.

Casio explains that the new Intelligent AF feature, in addition to the usual face detection technology, automatically detects non-human photo subjects in the whole composition and determines the focus and exposure area. (Is that new?)

Anyways, the EX-Z450 will retail for $200 and the EX-Z90 will have a tag price of $150 when both hit store shelves in October.
