There’s a free update out there for you to download if you need to convert your photo files to the DNG (Digital Negative) format. It’s the Adobe DNG Converter and Camera Raw 3.6 update.
Digital Negative was developed to address the lack of an open standard for the proprietary and unique raw files created by 120 various cameras. With DNG, photographers can archive their raw camera files in a single format for easy cataloging and access.
Adobe DNG Converter and Camera Raw 3.6 Beta also adds support for Canon EOS 400D/Rebel XTi, Leica D-LUX3 & Digilux 3, Nikon D80, Panasonic DMC-LX2 and Pentax K100D.
