The world’s biggest camera maker will attend the world’s biggest camera trade show scheduled for next year.
A spokesman from Canon has confirmed to PDN Gear Guide that, indeed, they will be attending the Photokina 2010 in Cologne, Gemany slated for September 21-26.
The confirmation came amidst apprehensions following Canon’s decision to cancel its participation in next year’s PMA 2010 trade show, to be held now in Anaheim, California instead of the usual venue, Las Vegas.
Canon USA VP Eliott Peck said the decision to stay out of PMA 2010 resulted from “changes in the industry” including the “convergence of technologies” and faster product life cycles.
But Photokina 2010 is in Canon’s calendar, and so is the Consumer Electronics Show, CES 2010, in January in Las Vegas.
