Now, here’s a portable media player that does everything: it can store and view 60,000 digital photos or 240 hours of video and 40,000 songs, plus it can record TV programs and FM radio too.
Wolverine Data’s ESP Professional Portable Media Player comes in 80GB and 120GB versions and features a 3.6-inch TFT LCD display.
Photographers can use it to offload digital pictures directly from their cameras so they don’t have to tote those laptops around, nor buy large capacity but expensive memory cards. But if you have to download from your memory card, the ESP has a built-in 7-in-1 card reader which accepts all popular formats including Compact Flash (CF), MicroDrive, Secure Digital (SD), MMC, Memory Stick (MS), Memory Stick Pro (MS-Pro) and XD Card. An optional adapter accepts MS-Duo, MS Pro-Duo, Mini-SD and RS-MMC.
The optional ESP Cradle System allows users to record directly from TVs, DVD players, VCRs or any video source. Music can also be downloaded onto the ESP in various formats, even from its built-in FM radio.
Prices: $530 for the 120GB version, plus $80 for the optional cradle.
