Uniross Hybrio AA and AAA NiMH are instant batteries that you can recharge, breaking away from the old concept that rechargeable batteries need to be charged first before initial use. Uniross joined other battery makers like Panasonic in this direction.
The problem with regular NiMH batteries is that they self-discharge at the rate of 1%-3% per day, thus they’re totally dead after a month on the shelf. The new batteries like Uniross Hybrio retain 80% of its charge after 6 months, and 70% after a full year. The company pre-charges the batteries before they are shipped to stores so they are ready for use when you open them.
Uniross Hybrio AAA batteries come in capacities of from 600-1000 mAh (milli-Ampere-hour), while size AA range from 1300-2700mAh.
