There are 4 new SLR lenses from Sony: the DT 50mm F1.8 SAM dubbed by the company as a portrait lens, the standard DT 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 SAM and DT 55-200mm F4-5.6 SAM kit lenses, and the DT 30mm F2.8 SAM macro lens.
Sony describes its 50mm lens (75mm equiv.) as a light, bright portrait lens offering a wide F1.8 aperture. They intend to offer it at an affordable price, about $150, when the new lenses hit the market in the fall.
The $200 DT 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 SAM is a standard kit lens usually bundled with a new Sony Alpha DSLR; in a two-lens kit, you also get the DT 55-200mm F4-5.6 SAM.
Completing the four new lenses is the DT 30mm F2.8 SAM macro lens which will give the equivalent 45mm focal length on APS-C DSLR cameras.
