Sigma has announced the immediate availability of accessories for the SD14 DSLR camera. These include two flash units, a battery pack with vertical grip, a remote controller, cable release switch and an AC adapter.
The flash units, EF-500 DG Super (pictured above) and EF-500 DG ST, are high-powered auto zoom flashes. The PG-21 power grip is a specially designed battery pack with vertical grip which can hold two BP-21 batteries.
The RS-31 remote controller allows the photographer to take self-portraits or get into group shots. Used in conjunction with the Mirror Lock-Up function, it can reduce the possibility of image-blurring camera shake, making it particularly useful for macro or telephoto shooting.
The CR-21 cable release is an alternative to the RS-31 remote controller for a wired connection to the camera. This aims to eliminate camera shake, which can result in blurred images; especially useful when using Mirror up and super-telephoto lenses.
Finally, the SAC-2 AC adapter provides a constant electricity supply when shooting in the studio, or taking indoor shots; also recommended for use when connecting the camera to the PC to transfer data.
