Sigma Announces 18-200 mm F3.5-6.3 DC OS Lens

Sigma 18-200mm Lens

Sigma has announced a new digital-only zoom lens: the 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 DC OS.

It is capable of covering a wide range of focal lengths from wide angle to telephoto, and is designed with Sigma’s own unique Optical Stabilizer function. Two sensors inside the lens detect vertical and horizontal movement of the camera, which then compensate for camera shake. Two Special Low Dispersion glass elements and two aspherical lenses provide excellent correction for all types of aberrations.

The lens is particularly suitable for using circular polarizing filters because the front lens does not have to rotate. This is made possible by an inner focusing system. The Sigma 18-200 mm OS lens has an equivalent field of view of 27-300 mm when used with a 1.5x FOV multiplier.
