RiDATA has new CompactFlash cards that monitor themselves so you don’t lose those all-important photos or data. The incorporated Self-Monitoring Analysis and Real Time (SMART) reporting technology minimizes data loss by constantly checking on its health and instantly reports it when there’s a problem. This technology is usually found only in magnetic hard drives and RAM modules.
Aside from SMART, the new RiDATA CF cards also feature the now standard ECC or Error Correction Code to verify the data stream to catch and correct any errors.
The new CF cards come in two flavors, Supreme 150X with up to 8GB capacity in SLC format and the Lightning 120X with up to 16GB in multi-level cell (MLC) format.
Ritek USA is inviting attendees to CES 2008, opening on Monday, to see the variety of new Ridata brand products for 2008 in the Ritek/Advanced Media booth, #31477, South Hall 3.
