Ricoh has released its new Caplio RR730 in Europe. The new 7-megapixel digital camera is slightly lighter and smaller than its popular predecessor the RR660, but sports a bigger 2.5″ color TFT-LCD monitor for easier viewing.
The Caplio RR730 is a point-and-shoot compact camera, even absolute beginners can use it. It also offers six scene modes for an even easier shoot: Auto, Program, Portrait, Landscape, Sports and Night Scene. It also shoots video, which is now a standard fare in most compact digital cameras.
The RR730 packs an internal memory of 32MB, so you can shoot right out of the box; it accepts SD cards for additional storage. For power, it uses two AA penlight batteries.
