PopPhoto.com has put the Pentax K10D DSLR camera through its paces, and the review indicates that this late-comer has indeed arrived. The K10D was first unveiled at the Photokina in September, while the others in its class – Nikon D80, Sony A100, and Canon 400D – were already making splashes, and grabbing market shares, with their production models.
PopPhoto says the 10-megapixel K10D is a serious player in the advanced amateur DSLR game, with its sensor-based shake reduction, 22-bit processing, 3FPS JPEG capture-to-card capacity, weather-tough design, excellent image quality at all ISOs, excellent fluorescent color balancing and LCD depth of field preview function.
“The K10D not only proves that Pentax belongs in the big leagues, it’s an all-star player,†the review said.
