Review: Casio Exilim EX-S600 Just Right

Casio Exilim EX-S600

I have always liked Imaging Resource for their spot-on reviews of cameras. They have just reviewed the little Casio Exilim EX-S600 ultra slim compact and came out with a realistic assessment of its performance and quality.

Reviewer Dan Havlik says the S600 is a fun camera to use. It’s fast and responsive enough for a slim camera and it yielded decent enough pictures with fairly true and vibrant colors. It fell short of having that “Dave’s Pick” imprimatur, though, because of over-aggressive noise processing that effectively blurs the details in pictures.

But if you’re just printing album-sized photos, hey, this camera’s just fine. “Sleek and stylishly designed with a solid overall build, the 6.0-megapixel EX-S600 is good camera option for anyone who is constantly on the go,” says Dan.

And although it won’t compete with today’s DSLRs in photo quality, the Casio EX-S600 produced images of good quality with fairly accurate color and generally sharp focus.

At $300, this little baby’s priced just right.
