The UK-based Professional Photographer of the Year is now calling for entries to the 2007 edition of its photo competition.
Participants must be located in the UK and earn an income from photography or studying photography at the higher education level to qualify for entry.
The contest is divided into eight subject-based sections, with two of the categories to be highlighted each month in the Professional Photographer magazine. Each category will feature a student prize.
Throughout the contest, participants may enter a maximum of three images per category. Photographs may be in black & white, color, manipulated, scanned film or digital.
The Professional Photographer of the Year 2007 is sponsored mainly by Lowepro, Manfrotto and B+W, with prizes from Peartree, Epson, Pantone, Nikon, Jessops, Bowens and Sigma.
Deadline for entries is August 31, 2007.
