Pro Lenses for Professional Canon Users

Canon EF 50mm f/1.2L USM Prime Lens

Photographer Wing T. Wong has a list of fast Canon lenses that he recommends for professional use, like shooting weddings in candle-lit churches where fast glass is preferred. For this, he suggests the Canon EF 50mm f/1.2L USM lens ($1,360) for Canon digital SLR cameras.

For long zooms, Wing prefers the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM ($1,700) telephoto zoom lens and for macro the Canon EF 180mm f3.5L Macro USM ($470) autofocus telephoto lens is a good choice, he says.

If 100mm is not close enough, there’s always the Canon EF 180mm f3.5L Macro USM ($1,200) autofocus telephoto lens to fall back on.
