PocketWizard Releases Beta Firmware for ControlTL MiniTT1, FlexTT5 Radio Flash Triggers

PocketWizard ControlTL MiniTT1 Radio Flash Trigger

The latest firmware for PocketWizard’s ControlTL MiniTT1 and FlexTT5 radio triggers adds the following functionalities:

  1. Automatic Camera Detection, which negates the need to select your camera model through the PocketWizard Utility and provides optimized High Speed Sync straight out of the box;
  2. Optimized HSS Crossover Auto Detect, allowing the 5D and 5D Mark II to sync at all shutter speeds with the Canon Speedlites straight out of the box, without needing to use the PocketWizard Utility; and
  3. Flash Exposure Compensation can now be set directly on a Speedlite in the shoe of a remote FlexTT5.

The new firmware is still in beta; the company released it to allow testing with a wider user base. PocketWizard suggests that you should be very comfortable using the PocketWizard Utility and be willing and able to provide detailed feedback of your experiences using the beta firmware.
