Pentax has two new offerings in the compact digicam department: the redesigned Optio M30 and the slim Optio T30.
The mid-level M30 (above, top photo) has been redesigned from its M20 predecessor, now offering 7.1-megapixel and a slimmer body, and adds a higher ISO 3200 sensitivity. The $200 M30’s aluminum body measures only 0.7-inch thick and features a 2.5-inch LCD screen.
Also debuting, the Optio T30 (above, bottom photo) is touted by Pentax to be “one of the thinnest digital cameras featuring a 3-inch LCD.†The $350 compact is 0.75-inch thick and shares many features of its T20 sibling.
Both the M30 and T30 retain Pentax’s Face Recognition technology and accept SD and SDHC memory cards.
