Olympus Releases Firmware Update for Zuiko Standard Zooms

Olympus E-420 DSLR Camera with 14-42mm Zuiko Digital Zoom Lens

Olympus released today a firmware update for two Olympus Digital Zuiko lenses, the Zuiko 14-42mm and 40-150mm Four Thirds lenses, to bring them up to speed with the recently announced E-420 DSLR camera. The firmware update will optimize the Live View autofocus function of these two lenses when used with the E-420.

The new firmware allows full compatibility with the Zuiko 14-42mm and 40-150mm when using the Imager autofocus mode on the E-420 DSLR. The recently announced Zuiko 25mm lens is already compatible with the Imager autofocus mode.

The firmware can be updated through Olympus Master software. The link below details the process of updating the firmware.
