Quik Pod

The little Quik Pod is making waves now, placing number one recently on the MSN Travel list of top travel gadgets.

This unassuming but sturdy stick can travel with you anywhere in the world and when you need to take a photo of yourself the Quik Pod quickly extends to 18 inches more to give you that ample distance for a self-portrait.

The $30 Quik Pod is designed for point-and-shoot cameras, camcorders and waterproof cameras; yes, it can even go with you underwater.

The pocket-sized telescoping monopod weighs only 3.5 oz. The Quik Pod Pro+, pictured at left, includes a lightweight tripod leg adapter.

Families and couples on vacation will appreciate this versatile tool for making picture taking and video shooting possible without asking anyone for assistance, and everybody stays in the picture.

The Quik Pod was created by veteran Disney toy inventor Wayne Fromm.
