Minox Germany today introduced the Minox DC 1022, a digital camera that may at first look like a plain Jane variety until you realize that it’s got 10.1 megapixels, 6x zoom and 2.8†screen.
That’s a sizeable screen there, to be sure, and it manages to pack it in at just an inch thickness (it’s full vital stats, 93 x 57 x 25.5mm, 150g). The company says the new Minox DC 1022 is the follow-up model to its award-winning DC 8122 and one of the smallest and lightest cameras in the 10-megapixel market today.
It offers some degree of manual control, aperture and shutter speed can be selected individually; and it also features several program modes that offer different exposure settings. For example portrait, sports, fireworks, animal photography or night-time mode can be selected, otherwise the automatic mode takes over which automatically controls all settings like focus and exposure.
The new Minox DC 1022 has an SD card slot for cards of up to 2 GB as well as an internal memory of 32 MB. For video clips or voice recordings the camera has its own microphone and built-in speaker.
