Lowepro To Aid Polar Bears International

Lowepro Logo

I thought Lowepro were just into making good bags for your cameras. Now, I know that they make good bags for your cameras and care for polar bears too.

It’s now their 40th year, and to mark their anniversary, Lowepro is partnering with Polar Bears International to help fund PBI research and the association’s ongoing global efforts to create awareness on climatic and environmental threats faced by the polar bear population.

Lowepro will be making commemorative bags this year and part of the profits from these bags will go to PBI. The initiative continues Lowepro’s ongoing tradition of partnering with agencies and associations whose missions are to preserve nature and the environment, including Amazon Watch, Raincoast Conservation Society and many others.

Aside from the commemorative bags, Lowepro will also hold a photo contest soon with 100 percent of the entry fees going to PBI. Details about the photography competition will be available at http://www.lowepro.com in the coming weeks.
