Lightroom 3 Beta 2 Demos Tethered Shooting, Improved Performance, More!

Lightroom 3 Beta 2

Lightroom 3 now supports tethered shooting with select Canon and Nikon cameras. That means you can view large jpeg previews of your images on your computer monitor as you shoot them.

The latest LR version will also be able to manage videos shot with your video-capable DSLR; no, you can’t edit your videos in Lightroom still, but you will be able to manage them. When you click videos to open them in Lightroom, it calls your default media player to actually play them.

Lightroom 3 also claims improved performance and enhanced watermarking among its latest features. The latest version is now in its second beta release, downloadable for registered users.

Lightroom 3 Beta 2 will run independently with LR 2.6. Adobe says commercial release for LR3 is very near. The company has already announced an April 12, 2010 date for the official launch of Adobe Photoshop CS5.
