The new LaCie Core4 designer USB hub adds 4 USB ports to your PC while the Core7 adds (good guess!) 7. Well, it’s really more like 3 + 1 and 6 + 1 — 3 or 6 regular USB 2.0 ports plus one mini-USB cable built right in for convenience, for charging mobile devices and the like.
The new USB hubs are designed by Sam Hecht, modeled after his award winning LaCie Little Disk, with emphasis on being clean, thin and elegant. One USB port is positioned on top, providing quick access for USB flash drives.
The LaCie Core4 and LaCie Core7 are available in 3 different colors: Warm Gray, Blue and Orange; $10 for the Core4 and $20 for Core7.
