The new HP Photosmart Premium all-in-one inkjet printer is billed as the world’s first web-connected home printer, with a TouchSmart Web control panel and a generous 4-33-inch touchscreen display through which users can download and interact with applications from the HP Apps Studio that allow a variety of web content to be printed.
Partners offering such applications include USA TODAY, Google, Fandango, Coupons.com, DreamWorks Animation, Nickelodeon, Web Sudoku and Weathernews Inc.
The HP Photosmart Premium features separate cartridges for black, photo black, yellow, cyan and magenta. It can print up to 33 pages-per-minute in black and white and up to 32 ppm in color. 4″ x 6″ prints will take only 18 seconds, and print resolution is up to 4,800 x 1,200 dots-per-inch. It will be available this fall at $400.
