Scanner software VueScan Version 8.4.18 has been released. Hamrick Software says the updated version now supports over 700 scanners and 200 camera RAW formats.
This can breath new life to your existing scanner, improving black and white scan speed on some document scanners, improving Kodachrome infrared cleaning and giving a new option for DNG files.
Hamrick claims VueScan 8.4.18 can give you higher quality scans, better than the software that comes with your scanner.
You may download VueScan and test it first to see if it’s for you. If you decide to keep it, the standard edition costs $40. The professional edition, costing $80, adds RAW scan file creation, ICC support, IT8 color calibration and unlimited free upgrades.
