DYMO has rolled out the DiscPainter device that prints radially on CDs and DVDs; the disc spins inside the printer while the printing process is going on. Dymo calls this RadialPrint Technology – it prints directly on the disc as it spins.
It promises superb detail and rich color. On top of that, it is fast, says Dymo. It prints full-color discs in about a minute. It can print from Photoshop, Illustrator, QuarkXPress, InDesign and SureThing applications.
The Dymo DiscPainter retails for $280 and comes with an inkjet cartridge, Discus for DYMO software, AC adapter, USB cable and 3 glossy waterproof CDs.
