Camera Bits Announces New Photo Mechanic, New Website

Camera Bits says their Photo Mechanic Version 4.6.2 is now available. Photo Mechanic is a pioneering piece of workflow software for photographers. Before Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and Aperture, there was Photo Mechanic doing the work for professional photographers. The company says users of the program can speed through the import, captioning, and editing process of photographs at a rate that goes unmatched to this day.

Version 4.6 now includes GPS functions, faster captioning, photo search and a whole host of innovations. The latest update also includes improvements to uploading templates, including those from PhotoShelter and Zenfolio, and improvements with RAW file handling and support for RAW files from new camera models built by Canon, Nikon, and Olympus. There’s a downloadable user guide that can tell you all about the new version.

Camera Bits also announced that they have a new website, camerabits.com, which will continue to host the online resources for their users, as well as its user forums, with more than 21,000 posts covering 4,500 topics by 3,100 members. There are new tutorials there, too.
