Book: skin by Lee Varis

Skin by Lee Varis

Author Lee Varis tackles the tricky subject of achieving accurate skin tones in his new book, skin: The Complete Guide to Digitally Lighting, Photographing, and Retouching Faces and Bodies.

Lee is a Hollywood photo-illustrator with 30 years of involvement in commercial photography. His photos have been featured in National Geographic, Newsweek, and Fortune magazines.

In his book, Lee takes the reader step-by-step through his tutorials, with before-and-after illustrations to demonstrate his various techniques for topics such as digital-specific lighting challenges and what can and cannot be done in post-process.

To make things even easier, the accompanying CD-ROM contains sample image files to use while following the tutorials.
