BenQ today unveiled its E610 and C610 digital cameras aimed at the consumer market.

“The BenQ DC E610 and C610 are perfect options for users looking for a convenient way to enter the digital photography market,” said Conway Lee, General Manager for the BenQ Digital Media Business Group.

The BenQ DC C610 is a 6-megapixel compact with a sliding front cover and a 2-inch LCD screen. It uses AA batteries for power.

On the other hand, the BenQ DC E610 is a more fully featured camera with a 6.1 megapixel CCD sensor, and advanced smc Pentax lens, 3X optical zoom, and 2.4” TFT LCD screen. Both cameras are initially available in the European market.
