Aven iLoupe Microscope Camera

Aven iLoupe Microscope Camera

Optical inspection device maker Aven has launched what it calls the “world’s first digital portable field microscope/camera.” We recall that this was first unveiled at the Photokina 2006 in Germany, attached to a Canon Digital Ixus 60 (SD600) camera.

The Aven iLoupe digital microscope can magnify up to 150x and can capture images of objects as small as 6mm to 10 microns.

The whole package of iLoupe ProPack, which includes the camera, LED lighting module and all three 60x, 100x and 150x lenses, will cost $2500. But there’s an iLoupe Starter pack for $1465 which includes the 60x lens only.

If this is your inspection device, the Aven iLoupe is available at http://www.aventools.com/.
