Alert: Some Olympus 12-60mm SWD Zoom Lenses Are Defective

Olympus ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 12-60mm 1:2.8-4.0 SWD Zoom Lens

Olympus is alerting owners of the ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 12-60mm 1:2.8-4.0 SWD zoom lens that some of those units could be defective: the autofocus may not operate in the intended manner.

If you own the lens, check its serial number. If it falls within the range 230005416 and 230010688, it could be defective. Take it immediately to the nearest service center; Olympus is offering to inspect and repair it for free, along with a large dose of “We’re sorry.”
