ViewSonic Joins Digital Photo Frames Scramble

ViewSonic Digital Photo Frames

Monitor maker Viewsonic has joined the digital photo frame bandwagon to cash in on this burgeoning market sector.

To catch up with the fast-growing market, ViewSonic unleashed three picture frame models all at once, the better to cover as many bases as quickly as possible.

But the big-league LCD monitor maker is hitting the minor-league sizes first, starting with the widescreen 7-inch DP701W4WH, widescreen 8-inch DF88W-523 and traditional 8-inch DF87G533.

The ViewSonic frames have built-in 128MB memory with street prices of $99 for the DP701 and $119 for both the DF88W and DF87G, sweet prices for entry-level buyers from the entry-level folks at ViewSonic.
