Cosina of Japan introduces the Ultron 40mm F2 SLII Aspherical lens and the Nokton 58mm F1.4 SLII, both carrying the Voigtländer brand. The new lenses will be available for the Nikon and Pentax DSLR mounts.
The Ultron is a pancake design comprising six elements in five groups including a double-aspheric element and high-refraction glass.
The Nokton is based on a Topcor design with seven elements in six groups. It replicates the angle of view of an 85mm when mounted on an APS-C camera making it a good choice for portrait photography.
The new Voigtländer lenses are expected to sell for $400 to $500 when they are released towards December.
