Transcend Releases SSD25D Drive with 64MB DRAM Cache
Transcend USA has released its latest ultra-speed SSD25D Solid State Drive, a 2.5" SATA II SSD equipped with 64MB of built-in DRAM cache.
Transcend claims the SSD25D far outperforms standard 2.5" hard drives by delivering sustained transfer speeds of up to 230MB/s read and 180MB/s write. The company said a computer equipped with a Transcend SSD25D is more responsive, boots-up faster, and launches software applications in a fraction of the time required with a standard hard drive.
The increased speed potential gained from using an ultra-speed DRAM cache makes the SSD25D an ideal upgrade for high-end gaming systems and workstations, according to Transcend.
