London’s Trafalgar Square will display LomoWorldWall on September 17 to 23, 2007, a gigantic open-air exhibit featuring more than a hundred thousand pictures taken by photographers from all over the world. All photos have been taken with special Lomo cameras.
Lomography takes a light-hearted approach to photography to document everyday life; it emphasizes casual snapshots characterized by over-saturated colors, off-kilter exposure, blurring, “happy accidents,” and alternative film processing.
The Trafalgar Square exhibition is part of the 7th Lomography World Congress which also features community events that include workshops on Lomography.
The Lomographic Society now holds about 5 million photos snapped by one million Lomo photographers in its archives.
