There’s a new online tool for photo editing and managing called Splashup. It’s on beta and it’s working now. It is also free.
This web-based application works in real-time, allowing you to edit single or multiple images at once. Its interface reminds you of Photoshop before it became bloated and complicated.
Splashup runs in all browsers, presenting the user with familiar tools for image editing such as Marquee, Lasso, Crop, Brush, Pencil, Text, Rotate, Smudge, Paint Bucket, etc.
It even does Layers and features filters like Sharpen, Blur, Add Noise, Pixelate, Emboss, Posterize and others. It also has sliders to control Hue/Saturation and Contrast/Brightness.
And in the spirit of Web 2.0, it integrates with top photo-sharing sites like Flickr, Picasa, Facebook and Splashup itself which is also a photo-sharing resource.
