Sony Europe has launched the 4GB Micro Vault Tiny, a USB flash drive that does away with the outside metal USB connector to maintain a thin form. The tiny unit measures only 14.5 x 2.7 x 30 mm, and is available in stylish purple color with a clip-on carrying case.
Sony says the thin Tiny is ideal for sharing large numbers of music, pictures and video clips, keeping access to business or personal files while traveling and enabling access to personal files from any computer.
While its 4GB capacity may be more than enough for most uses, the pre-loaded Virtual Expander data compression software allows users to store up to 3 times more data than its native capacity. That means you can pack in up to 12GB worth of data in there if you really have to.
