Sony Ericsson’s P-series has always featured top-of-the-line specs that make it ideal as a powerful business phone. But it also has always been quite hefty and bulky right up to the latest P990 model. Until now.
Here comes the Sony Ericsson P1, the slimmer and sexier version of the line, shedding off extra poundage but retaining all those top specifications and adding a few features of its own.
While the P990 measures a comfortable 114 x 57 x 25mm, the P1 is a sleek 106 x 55 x 17mm, 25% smaller but retaining the complete mobile office apps like push corporate and consumer email, WLAN and VoIP capability.
Sony Ericsson says the P1 offers true multimedia experience with its 3.2-megapixel camera that features a business card scanner, and a media player. It also comes with its own 512MB Memory Stick Micro.
The Sony Ericsson P1 is a Tri-Band GPRS 900/1800/1900 and UMTS 2100 handset with Wi-Fi 802.11b. It will be available in selected markets from Q3 2007.
