Sony Announces 8GB Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo HX
Sony Europe announced today its new 8GB Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo HX memory card offering a fast read speed of 20MB/sec and a write speed of 15MB/sec.
The new high-speed, high-capacity card, Sony says, is ideal for high-megapixel digital cameras and videocams. The company says the new card can handle the 5fps of continuous shooting of a Sony Alpha digital SLR camera.
Sony said the Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo HX uses an 8-bit parallel interface to achieve this level of performance, and with its 10 year warranty, represents excellent value for customers who demand the best.
It will be available in October.
