The 12th China Shanghai Interphoto & Digital Imaging Exhibition reels off July 1-4, 2010 as part of a bigger trade exposition, the Shanghai World Expo. The imaging trade show will feature photography contests, technical seminars and business forums.
Big names in the world of photography and imaging will be there: Canon, Kodak, Sony, HP, Mitsubishi, Epson and others have confirmed their participation.
Interestingly, while Canon skipped the 2010 PMA in the US, it is doubling its floor space for the Shanghai event, underscoring the important of the Chinese market for imaging products. The digital camera market in China reportedly sold more than 12 million units in 2009 and will exceed 16 million units in 2013, with an average annual compound growth rate of 9.7 percent.
