LG Offers 3000:1 Contrast Ratio with Flatron L1982U

LG Flatron L1982U LCD Monitor

If it lives up to its specs, the LG Flatron L1982U just might be the best LCD monitor out there for graphics pros (and gamers too). With its 3000:1 contrast ratio, this monitor could deliver the clearest and crispest picture yet among LCDs, bar none. Add its 2ms response time and you get a fast display capable of delivering smooth action in movies and games.

Howard Lee, Managing Director for LG Electronics Singapore says, “LG continues to show our breakthrough in technology with the announcement of the world’s highest contrast ratio of 3000:1 for LCD monitors.”

The L1982U also features an Auto Bright function, which automatically calibrates display brightness according to ambient light, and wide viewing angles (H:170°, V:170°), making the display great for viewing in collaborative work or play.

Will somebody please test LG’s claims right away? I want one.

Wow!!! Specacular product!!! I purchased my LG FLATRON 206WTQ Wide 22″ display this evening and the quality and brightness dwarfs even the LG FLATRON 19″ display with 1400:1 ratio that I acquired last year. Way to go, LG! with 2 ms access time, I can’t wait to install some great software…
