Lexar Rolls Out 8GB Platinum II 60x SDHC Memory Card

Lexar 8GB Platinum II 60x SDHC Memory Card

The latest SD memory card from Lexar is an 8GB SDHC Platinum II version, rated at 60x (Class 4), the equivalent of a minimum sustained write speed capability of 9MB per second. That kind of speed plays nice with the burst mode of even the fastest high-end cameras.

As well, the Lexar 8GB Platinum II 60x Secure Digital memory card’s high speed and high capacity make it ideal not just for fast picture-taking but also for full-motion video.

The new SDHC card comes with Image Rescue 3, Corel Snapfire Plus SE, and a limited lifetime warranty.

Erm, is this a paid release or what?

Come on guys. A few hundred people might go out and waste their money on this thing now. The 60x speed is a thing of the past, even for SD. How about recommending 133x Lexar Professional SD cards? Or, for the CF users (like me), the 300x Lexar Professional UDMA CF cards?
