Layers 1.0 Lets You Capture a Lot of Screenshots in Mac OS X

Layers by wuonm

A Madrid-based company, wuonm, has introduced Layers 1.0, a screen capture utility for Mac OS X. It’s targeted at graphic and web designers as well as technical writers and developers who need to capture a lot of screenshots.

Screenshots captured in Layers 1.0 are compatible with Adobe Photoshop; they can be saved as fully layered PSD files, composite images or as separate PNG image files. Users can easily obtain full-fledged PSD files with one layer per window, including menu and desktop icons, dock and menu bar.

Layers supports all Mac applications that can read PSD files, including Photoshop (5.0 or later), Pixelmator, MacGimp, Corel Painter Essential, and others. Grouped layers require Photoshop 6.0 or higher, or any application that supports grouped layers.

This screen capture software is priced at $20 (US) for a single-user license. During their launch promo period, however, Layers is priced at $15. A full-featured, demo that generates water-marked images is available.
